Network Rail will be carrying out some work in March to renew elements of the railway running through Witham Friary. They are confident that residents of Wanstrow shouldn’t be affected by this work itself, but will be using a railway access point off Station Road to deliver heavy machinery onto the railway line to support this project. They don’t plan on closing roads or bridges and should be able to carry this out with little noticeable impact, but with some deliveries being made overnight and the manoeuvring of large lorries, they would are available if there are questions or concerns about this.
Below is a letter drafted for the residents of Wanstrow, which includes a map of where the railway access point is located. They will not be sending the letter out but has asked for it to be uploaded to the Website and Facebook page.
